Antistatic Agent

For the particular market of food, cosmetics and industrial items, it is necessary to take away the static electricity and to hinder the consequent build-up of dust on the plastic’s surface. These agents will lower the surface resistivity and therefore reduce the decay time of the surface static charge. The additive will migrate onto the manufactured article’s surface, creating a polar layer capable of absorbing the atmospheric moisture (see the enclosed figure) with consequent improved conductibility and surface charge dissipation. The atmospheric conditions shall highly affect the additive’s action, their results will be very effective for wet and rainy days. The use of conductive agents are suggested when higher conductance levels shall be requested. These concentrates can be used as such or in combination with other additives or pigments.
